About the role

We are looking for an experienced Automation QA Engineer to join the R&D team of our global sports technology hub providing real-time results, in-depth stats, original & customised content, and more.


As part of the R&D team you will work alongside talented engineers on a challenging product which impacts sports fans around the world.


Responsibilities:


  • Serve as the system architect of the automation system infrastructure and provide improvements and new developments
  • Design, create, maintain E2E, API testing frameworks and automation testing projects from scratch for Native Mobile, Web testing and production environments
  • Help implement and drive automated testing strategies and frameworks across multiple systems and platforms
  • Actively participate in test planning discussions to assure automation coverage is continuously improving
  • Identify and drive the adoption of best practices in code health, testing, testability, and maintainability. You should know about clean code and the test pyramid, and champion these concepts
  • Document and report issues and resolution

Requirements:


  • At least 4 years’ experience in Python
  • Proven background with different tools and methods of Back-End testing automations like API's, databases, services, etc.
  • Demonstrated testing experience (Test Definition & Execution) in the following fields: End to End testing, Regression, Integration, performance, stress, stability
  • Background in developing test automation infrastructure and/or automating tests on Windows / Linux servers
  • System understanding from multiple perspectives, including high-level and low-level technical architecture
  • Team player, leader, confident, can-do attitude, independent, passionate

Nice to have:


  • Deep understanding of different test automation approaches (Data-driven, BDD, hybrid)
  • Experience with CI/CD processes like GitHub Actions /AzureDevOps/Jenkins
  • Experience with building systems & tools (Gradle, Maven, Npm, Pip and etc)
  • Experience working with Docker, Terraform/Ansible
  • Experience in NoSQL and SQL databases
